Anna Russell

Anna Russell wants to inspire others through her Zwift racing. Five years ago when she called time on her Professional Triathlon career she didn’t think competitive racing would be back on the agenda. After having a family, the priorities became different. Racing around the world was replaced with racing around the park after two active toddlers, and big training days became sleepless nights and nappy changes! The competitive fire never disappeared for Anna though, and while pregnant with their second son, Anna’s husband Hayden suggested she get a treadmill and give Zwift Running a try. That led quickly to Anna becoming addicted to Zwift, joining up to Zwift cycling as well, and cycling all the way through until the day she went into labor. The first night in hospital, Anna started the Zwift group Badass Moms — a way for Moms on Zwift to support, motivate and inspire one other to keep fit and active through all the ups and downs of motherhood. Taking a break after birth to get strong again, Anna then dipped her toe into Zwift Racing... and BOOM the competitiveness was back! Nowadays while the kids are asleep you’ll find Anna firing up the tunes and diving headfirst into a race.
